Terms of Service

Chapter 1. General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service are intended to set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Doki (hereinafter "the Company") and Users regarding the use of "DOKI WORLD" (hereinafter "the Service") operated by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Service" refers to the AI-based interactive story content platform and related ancillary services provided by the Company.
  2. "User" refers to any person who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms.
  3. "Chat Credits" refers to the unit of usage rights purchased to use AI conversations within the Service.
  4. "Bonus Chat Credits" refers to Chat Credits provided free of charge through events, promotions, or other means.
  5. "AI Content" refers to content such as text and images that is automatically generated using artificial intelligence technology.

Article 3 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms)

  1. These Terms become effective upon being posted on the Service screen or otherwise notified to Users.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations, and shall post notice within the Service at least 7 days prior to the effective date, specifying the date of application and the reasons for amendment.
  3. If a User does not agree to the amended Terms, the User may discontinue use of the Service and withdraw their membership.

Chapter 2. Service Agreement

Article 4 (Conclusion of Service Agreement)

  1. The service agreement is concluded when the User logs in through a Google account and agrees to these Terms.
  2. Each User may create only one account per person.

Article 5 (Restrictions on Service Applications)

The Company may refuse a service application or terminate the service agreement retroactively in any of the following cases:

  1. Using another person's identity
  2. Providing false information or failing to provide information required by the Company
  3. Being a User whose use was previously restricted due to a violation of these Terms

Article 6 (Age Restrictions)

  1. To use paid services (purchasing Chat Credits), domestic Users must be at least 19 years of age, and international Users must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Users must complete an age verification process before making a payment, and the User bears responsibility for any false declaration of age.

Chapter 3. Use of Service

Article 7 (Description of Service)

DOKI WORLD is an AI (artificial intelligence)-based interactive story content platform. All chat functions within the Service (AI interactive stories, persona chat) are operated entirely and automatically by artificial intelligence (AI) technology, and no human operator is involved in generating chat responses. All characters that converse with Users are fictional beings generated by AI.

The services provided by the Company are as follows:

  1. AI Interactive Stories: Text-based interactive story content in which artificial intelligence generates dialogue and narration in real time in response to User choices
  2. Persona Chat: An AI chat service that allows Users who have completed a story to freely have 1:1 conversations with specific AI characters
  3. Chat Credit Top-up: Purchase of usage rights (Chat Credits) to use paid AI conversations
  4. Other services that the Company may additionally develop or provide through partnerships

Article 8 (Use of Chat Credits)

  1. Users may purchase Chat Credits to use the AI conversation service, and one Chat Credit is deducted per conversation turn.
  2. Bonus Chat Credits are deducted before paid Chat Credits.
  3. Upon initial registration, 30 Chat Credits are provided as a welcome bonus.
  4. Chat Credits are non-transferable between Users and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  5. The service period for purchased Chat Credits is one year from the date of payment, and unused Chat Credits within that period may continue to be used without expiration. Remaining Chat Credits are forfeited upon membership withdrawal.

Article 9 (AI Content Disclaimer)

  1. Content generated by AI within the Service is produced by automated technology and may differ from fact.
  2. Users acknowledge that AI outputs may contain "AI hallucinations" and that inaccurate or inappropriate content may be generated.
  3. The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content, and Users shall use AI content for entertainment purposes only.
  4. AI content may produce different results each time it is used, which is a characteristic of the Service.
  5. The dialogue and behavior of AI characters within the Service are generated by artificial intelligence and do not reflect actual personalities or opinions.

Article 9-2 (AI-Generated Content Labeling — Framework Act on Artificial Intelligence)

  1. In accordance with Article 29 (Labeling Obligation) of the Framework Act on Artificial Intelligence (effective January 22, 2026), the Company notifies Users that the content within the Service is generated by artificial intelligence.
  2. The scope of AI-generated content is as follows:
    • Character dialogue and emotional expressions
    • Story narration and descriptions
    • Visual assets such as character images, backgrounds, and CGs
    • Persona chat responses
  3. Users must consent to the AI-generated content notification upon first use of the Service; use of the Service is restricted without such consent.
  4. The Company may modify the methods, scope, and details of AI-generated content labeling in accordance with changes in applicable laws and regulations, and shall post notice within the Service of any such changes.

Article 10 (Modification and Suspension of Service)

  1. The Company may modify all or part of the Service as required for operational or technical reasons.
  2. In the event of service modification or suspension, the Company shall provide advance notice through announcements within the Service.
  3. The Company shall not be liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events such as natural disasters or system failures.

Chapter 4. Payment and Refunds

Article 11 (Purchasing Chat Credits)

  1. Users may purchase Chat Credits by selecting from the following plans:
    • Basic: ₩1,000 / $0.99 — 10 credits
    • Standard: ₩3,000 / $2.99 — 30 credits
    • Value: ₩5,000 / $4.99 — 60 credits + 10 bonus credits
    • Premium: ₩10,000 / $9.99 — 110 credits + 10 bonus credits
    • Mega: ₩30,000 / $24.99 — 350 credits + 50 bonus credits

Article 12 (Payment Methods)

  1. Payments are processed through TossPayments.
  2. Available payment methods depend on those supported by the payment processor.

Article 13 (Refund Policy)

  1. If the purchased Chat Credits have never been used, a refund may be requested within 7 days of the payment date.
  2. Refund requests may be submitted directly from the Purchase History page (Service → Shop → Purchase History), or via email at contact@doki-world.xyz.
  3. Refunds are not available if even one Chat Credit has been used after purchase. This is because content delivery begins immediately.
  4. Bonus Chat Credits (from events, promotions, etc.) are not eligible for refunds.
  5. Domestic (KRW) refunds are processed immediately through TossPayments, while international (USD) refunds may take 3 to 5 business days.
  6. Damages caused by reasons attributable to the Company such as service failures shall be compensated separately regardless of the refund conditions.

Chapter 5. User Obligations

Article 14 (Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights)

  1. Copyright and intellectual property rights for content included in the Service, such as images, text, and software, belong to the Company.
  2. Copyright for AI-generated conversation content is governed by applicable laws, and Users may only use it for personal purposes within the Service.
  3. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use content within the Service without the prior consent of the Company.

Article 15 (User Obligations)

Users shall not engage in the following activities:

  1. Using the Service for fraudulent purposes or through abnormal means (automated programs, bots, etc.)
  2. Exchanging or trading Chat Credits for cash, goods, or other valuables
  3. Using another person's account or sharing one's own account with others
  4. Interfering with the operation of the Service or gaining unauthorized access to systems
  5. Inducing or distributing illegal, obscene, or violent content
  6. Infringing upon the intellectual property rights of the Company or third parties
  7. Any other acts that violate applicable laws or these Terms

Article 16 (Account Management)

  1. Users are responsible for managing their account information securely.
  2. Users must immediately notify the Company upon becoming aware of any unauthorized use of their account.

Chapter 6. Service Restrictions and Disclaimers

Article 17 (Restriction of Service Use)

  1. The Company may temporarily or permanently restrict service use if a User engages in any of the activities described in Article 15.
  2. When restricting use, the Company shall inform the User of the reasons, and the User may file an objection.

Article 18 (Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Company shall not be liable for the inability to provide the Service due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, wars, or service interruptions by telecommunications carriers.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for service usage disruptions caused by reasons attributable to the User.
  3. AI-generated content may contain inaccurate or inappropriate content due to the nature of artificial intelligence technology, and the Company does not warrant such content.
  4. The Company's liability for damages related to the use of the Service shall be limited to the amount paid by the User to the Company.

Article 19 (Membership Withdrawal)

  1. Users may request withdrawal from the Company at any time.
  2. Upon withdrawal, remaining Chat Credits (both paid and bonus) shall be forfeited and cannot be restored.

Chapter 7. Dispute Resolution

Article 20 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. Disputes regarding the interpretation of these Terms and the use of the Service shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Litigation regarding disputes related to the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court.

Article 21 (Dispute Resolution)

  1. User complaints regarding disputes between the Company and Users may be submitted via email at contact@doki-world.xyz.
  2. The Company endeavors to promptly handle complaints submitted by Users.

Addendum

These Terms of Service shall take effect on February 25, 2026.
